Pampang residents hit AC execs for foul odor

ANGELES CITY ---- Residents of barangay Pampang specifically those in Villa Rosario hit the local government officials led by Mayor Ed Pamintuan for their alleged lack of action on the obnoxious odor emitted by the garbage transfer station in the area.

Estimated at 10 to 15 feet high, the mountain-like garbage dumped at the so-called transfer station in the said area emits foul smell and poses health hazards to the elderly and young children living nearby.

Insider INI staff personally witnessed the “bunduk-bundok na basura comparable to the Payatas dump site” and experienced the foul odor as well.

He added that often times he would enter and confine himself inside their comfort room just to avoid the bad smell.

Along with other affected residents in the area, Jaime appealed to Mayor Pamintuan to immediately act on the matter as they are afraid that the foul odor emanating from the mountain-like garbage dump site would also contaminate the food and other edible items being sold at the Pampang public market.

They also urge the city government officials to move the garbage transfer station to a farther and safer place, away from residential areas.

Even local tourists and ordinary motorists have been heard complaining about the foul smell and the residents are afraid that this situation would have adverse effect on the tourism industry in the City.
